If you've played padel more than a few times, you've probably heard someone suggest playing an Americano. It's the go-to format for social padel sessions, and for good reason — everyone plays with everyone, the scoring is simple, and it's incredibly fun.
How Americano Works
In an Americano, partners rotate every round. You play WITH every other player and AGAINST every other player across the tournament. Points are tracked individually — if your pair wins a match 16-8, both you and your partner get 16 points each.
Scoring
Each match is played to a fixed number of points — typically 16, 24, or 32. Every point counts toward your individual total. After all rounds, the player with the most accumulated points wins the Americano.
Using Skoru for Americano
Skoru's Social Play feature handles all the logistics — partner rotation, court assignments, scoring, and live leaderboard. Just add players, pick Americano, and tap Start. The app generates the full schedule and tracks individual points automatically.
